A little bit of me..

Hey, everyone! I'm the other half of Mamas InLove With Fitness! I wanted to take a minute and give you all a little back story of what has lead me to where I am today in my fitness journey.

In high school I'd describe myself as athletic. I played sports and because of that (and paired with being young) I ate whatever I wanted. I never really gave a second thought to health, I was always active so in my mind it just took care of itself! Once out of high school I gained 30-35 lbs because my activity level went down to almost ZERO and I continued to eat whatever I felt like eating (turns out I love food). After feeling unhealthy and just plain bad about myself I started the whole yo-yo dieting trend. I've tried no carbs, low cals, cabbage soup diet..I've done them all. But I ALWAYS gained back what I had lost. This went on for a few years with no real weight loss and I definitely wasn't getting healthier!

I then got married and basically, sometimes I was happy with myself but most of the time I wasn't. After a year of marriage I became pregnant with my first babies, twin boys! I ended up losing one at 7 months but carried them, the other twin was perfectly healthy, to term and delivered them naturally! Only 6 months later, oops, I was pregnant with my second baby boy! I obviously didn't have time to lose all the baby weight from my first so I just packed on more. My second delivery didn't go as smooth as the first one and I ended up having an emergency c-sect.

So, there I was with a 15 month old and a newborn after pretty much back to back pregnancies with A LOT of extra weight! I decided I wanted to lose the weight once and for all and do it the RIGHT way and be a happy & healthy mom! At first I started running and eating a little better, cutting out pop and things like that and it made a difference. I got back down (slowly) to pre-pregnancy weight but I wanted to get back to my average weight, a weight I was more comfortable at. I continued to do little things and run but I hit a plateau.

Jump to when my sweet boys were 4 & 5, about a year ago, I heard about a at-home workout program called T25 on Facebook. I eventually ordered the program and jumped into an accountability group and became a Beachbody coach and my SIL (the other owner of Mamas In Love With Fitness) jumped in with me! The support and motivation of her (she's pretty awesome) and my coach, Dara from Mamas With Muscle was the push I needed. I'm still currently a coach and have done T25, P90X3 and The 21 Day Fix but I also still occasionally run and just started going to a gym and lifting, a little over a month ago! I'm probably in the best shape I've ever been in at 30 years old but I still have farther to go!

Kelsie (my SIL) and I HAD to have that support to push for our goals and fell in love with helping others in the process, so we decided we wanted to do whatever we could to make that possible. I can help you with an accountability group for support and motivation and/or an in-home program and SOON we will also have workout programs and meal plans of our very OWN to offer! I'm so excited to be able to help more moms (or anyone) get their bodies back and just get healthy! I've learned a lot about myself through fitness, one being that I LOVE it, but another is that I actually love the nutrition side of it! I can't wait to get started on my nutrition & wellness consultant certification this summer and help people be the healthiest they can be! We will keep everyone updated on our progress and have more for you soon <3
